● Rohm and Haas Company is increasing its technical support for
the antifouling paint market by moving its technical support
of Sea-Nine 211 marine antifoulant from its Spring
House, PA facility to Acima, the company’s wholly owned
subsidiary, in Buchs, Switzerland.
“There are a number of reasons why this move was
made,” said Bryan Hegarty, global marketing manager for Sea-Nine. First, the majority of our major customers are
headquartered in Europe so relocating our technical support
of Sea-Nine to Europe made sense from that perspective.
It is critical in the forthcoming months prior to the
implementation of the IMO Convention restricting the use
of TBT antifoulants that we offer top quality and rapid technical
and development support to our major customers.”
